A Registry Certificate acknowledges and highlights the training, experience and professionalism that is vital to quality child care.It honors each recipient’s unique training and background by reflecting the following:
- Level based on your education and degree
- All child care and education positions for which you are qualified in the state of Wisconsin
- Number of years in the child care and education field
- CPR, First Aid, and Shaken Baby Training
Applying to the Registry
There are two ways to submit your application to The Registry.

To apply to The Registry at a reduced rate you can fill out your application on-line. After you have submitted your application, send all necessary documentation to the Registry office.

Down Load Application
There is a place for all childhood care and education professionals on The Registry. This includes family providers, employees in group centers, staff in support organizations, and others. If you are a center director, administrator or teacher in a center and have been hired since 1998, you are required to join by HFS 46.05(1)(g) of the Wisconsin Administrative code.

How much does it cost?
$45 Standard Certificate - Submit all credit-based training and verification of any entry level training, regardless of date. Submit professional contributions and informal continuing education from only the last 12 months.
$35 Standard Online Application - Click Here To Apply On Line
$25 One-Year Renewal Certificate - Submit informal training and professional contributions from the last twelve months. If the applicant’s last Registry certificate has expired, only the last 12 months of training and professional contributions will be counted. Submit any credit-based training and verification of entry level training, regardless of date. It is not necessary to re-send any documentation submitted previously.
