Community Action Program
Patti Woolley has worked in the field of Early Childhood
Education for the past 36 years, and for the agency for 14
years, directing services for children, parent/family members,
and staff as a teacher, trainer, facilitator and administrator.
She has designed, developed and implemented programs for
children and families in both the private non-profit sector and
the public sector. Currently, she administers a program
encompassing 100 staff, physical facilities in 28 locations
throughout northern Kennebec and Somerset Counties, a combined
budget in excess of $4,500,000 and the annual expansion of
programming by 1-2 sites. Patti has an ongoing commitment to
quality programming for children, parent/family members, and
staff within an environment that nurtures positive change and
growth. She is an active member in several collaborative venues
including Kennebec/Somerset ACCESS, a two-county area
collaborative, which is the region’s “commission” for the
planning and delivery of early care and education services. She
is active at the state level in supporting the early education
community (especially between the Department of Education and
Department of Health and Human Services to conceptualize,
develop and implement strategies and cross system approaches to
early education that promote best practices).
