What are CEUs?
Continuing education units are a way of quantifying training events that meet the criteria defined by the International Association for Continuing Education Training. These criteria include that the training be:

  • At least five hours in 

  • Taught by qualified trainers.

How can I earn CEUs?
CEUs can be earned by attending an approved training. Training providers can offer CEUs if the training and trainer have been approved by the Wisconsin CEU Training Approval System which is administered by The Registry. Ask training providers to contact The Registry or look for the training designated by The Registry. CEUs are also available throuh an institution of higher education.

Who should pursue CEUs?

  • Anyone in the field of childhood care and education,

  • Anyone earning or renewing their Child Development Associate(CDA),

  • Those seeking in-depth training on specific topics.
